MAHAMAYA by Rabindranath Tagore
This story written by Rabindranath Tagore is about the Indian culture which is the widow should be cremated alive on her husband's funeral. Mahamaya the protagonist in this story was cremated alive after his marriage to a dying Brahmin, who later died, living her already a widow the next day. And it made the two apart but was again reunited, fulfilling Mahamaya's promise to Rajib. However, their being together was broken when Rajib broke his promise to Mahamaya that he will never remove the vail, then Mahamaya decided to leave immediately.
In this story I learned that Love cannot survive if there's no trust to each other.
